Piuma-Isonzo Park near Gorizia covers an area of 32 hectares between mount Calvario and the right bank of the river. This woodland, populated prevalently by chestnut, oak, holm oak, wild cherry and ash trees, is crossed by numerous paths. There are a number of small beaches and rocky spurs near the river.
