Located in the historic centre of Bologna and crossed by via Zamboni (the university street par excellence), piazza Giuseppe Verdi is a few minutes' walk from the two towers, symbol of the Emilian capital.
Named for the famous composer since 1951, the square features Palazzo Paleotti, the municipal theatre and one side of the Basilica of San Giacomo Maggiore.
