New window for Piemonte Doc, Short & Film Tv Development Fund – Deadline 15 June

A Call for applications for the Piemonte Doc Film Fund, Short Film Fund and Film Tv Development Fund is online on the Film Commission Torino Piemonte website with the necessary information and forms.

The first window, with the customary deadline of 15 June, has a total budget of €380k.

The Piemonte Doc Film Fund supports the production of documentaries (no less than 50 minutes in length):

  • by production structures based in Piedmont, whether stories and thematic issues about Piedmont or stories and thematic issues about other territories in Italy or abroad;
  • that focus on stories and thematic issues about Piedmont, made by production structures with legal headquarters in Italy or elsewhere, within and outside the European Union (non-Italian production companies are required to use a coproducer or executive producer based in Piedmont).

The June deadline Call has a budget of €220k, for documentaries in development (€5-20k) and production (€5-60k) for a maximum of 50% of the eligible costs.

The Short Film Fund supports drama, animation and experimental short films (excluding documentaries) no longer than 30 minutes in length, created entirely or in part in Piedmont using a significant number of local technicians and professionals. With a budget of €30k, it offers contributions of €5-15k for a maximum of 50% of the eligible costs.

Piemonte Film Tv Development Fund targets independent production companies with legal or operational headquarters in Piedmont, with the aim of boosting their ability to develop projects with the potential for distribution in Europe and beyond, and to facilitate international co-productions. It has a budget of €130k and offers contributions of €10-50k to cover 50% of the estimated budget for the development of feature-length films and projects for TV.
