The Umbria Film Fund, a call in support of audio-visual businesses, with a € 1.5 million budget for the creation of audio-visual products that enable awareness raising of the tourism opportunities in Umbria and the region’s creative and cultural endowments, has been published on the website of the Umbria Film Commission.
The end goal is to increase employment, encourage the exchange and growth of base productivity, attract and sustain investment flows and develop increasingly sophisticated specialisations in the region’s creative audio-visual industry.
The call outlines the grant schedule: from €15k (maximum) for short films (Category B) covering 70% of expenses to €400k for films, tv and web series, documentaries and animated projects (Category A) covering 50% of the costs.
Eligibility requirements for Category A projects include 40% (minimum) shoot days (or work days for animated projects) in Umbria, however if the entire shoot schedules more than 50 days, the minimum number required is 20. For Category B projects, this requirement increases to 70%.
The deadline for submissions is 15 November.
