The Regione Veneto has published a call for proposals for its 2023 Production Fund which has a budget of €5M divided equally into two sessions: the first closes on 30 May, the second opens from 3 October to 14 November.
The fund is allocated as follows:
- Category A: €4.6 M is earmarked for "feature length films, series (fiction, documentary, docufiction) and animation”; the maximum amount allocated to works in this category is €300K, covering 30% of expenses;
- Category B: €400k is set aside for "Doc, Short films and XR"; the maximum amount allocated to works in this category is €50K, covering 60% of eligible expenses.
The aim of the call is to:
- Make businesses working in the cinema and audio-visual industry in the Veneto region more competitive;
- Promote artistic and technical professionals working in the audio-visual sector in the Veneto region;
- Raise awareness of the landscape, artistic and productive heritage of the region.
The fund rewards those who follow the Green Film protocol with a bonus amounting to a max of 5% of the grant.
