Piemonte Film TV Fund: € 2.5 million for productions

The call for proposals for the first 2023 session of the Piemonte Film Tv Fund has been posted on the website of the Regione Piemonte: it provides non-repayable grants to support businesses working in the audio-visual, film and television industry.

Applications may be submitted from 2 May to 6 June 2023.

The annual budget has been raised to € 4M

The call – which intends to increase and attract investments that contribute as an economic multiplier and promote employment in the region – was launched in 2018 as part of the FESR 2014-2020 Programme fund and was reproposed for the 2021 -2027 Regional Programme, passing from a budget of €1.5 M p.a. to € 4 M p.a. and expanding to include animated films.

The first 2023 session has a budget of € 2.5 M.

Animation now included

Eligible projects (which must be completed within 18 months - fiction or 30 months – animation) are audio-visual works from the following categories:

  • Feature-length films, destined primarily for theatrical distribution;
  • Feature-length animated films (minimum 52 min. runtime), destined primarily for theatrical distribution;
  • Standalone works for television or web, destined primarily for TV broadcast, including SVOD;
  • Standalone animated works for television or web (minimum 24 min. runtime) destined primarily for TV broadcast, including SVOD;
  • Series for television or web, destined primarily at television broadcast, including SVOD;
  • Animated series for television or web (minimum 24 min. runtime) destined primarily for TV broadcast, including SVOD.

Grants reach a maximum of €400,000

Projects submitting applications have the opportunity to win a grant for a maximum amount of:

  • €150,000 for standalone animated works for TV and web;
  • €300,000 for feature-length films and standalone works for TV and web;
  • €400,000 for animated feature-length films; animated series for TV and web; series for TV and web.
