The 2024 Call for grants for cinema and audiovisual productions, with a € 4 million budget, has been posted on the Regione Veneto website.
The call is part of the PR Veneto FESR 2021-2027. Priority 1 OS 1.3 Action 1.3.11 "Interventi a sostegno delle imprese culturali, creative e dell’audiovisivo – Sub C – Produzione audiovisiva".
The €4 million budget is intended for the support of production feature-length films, television series and animation (€ 3.6 million), and documentaries, short films and virtual and immersive reality works (€ 400 k).
The tender is divided into two sessions: the first deadline is 18 June and the second will be open from 8 October to 19 November, 2024.
The intention is to strengthen the Veneto audiovisual industry in the territory and to encourage an increase in the number of national and foreign film production companies investing in the region. Specifically, goals are to increase the competitiveness of regional companies in the cinema and audiovisual sector, to promote local technical and artistic professionals in the sector and awareness of the artistic and landscape heritage and typical products of the region.
The session results are published within 120 days (maximum) from the deadline.
The first 2024 session will be followed by a second, as in 2023 when grants were allocated to 19 feature-length films, television and animation series and 10 documentaries and short films.
