The Regional Law 2 October 2024, n. 18 "Provisions on the enhancement of cinematographic and audiovisual activities" (Bollettino ufficiale 51 October 9, 2024) which preceded the approval and publication of the Call for support to cinematographic and audiovisual companies "Umbria Film Fund 2024" came into force in Umbria on October 10.
The Regional Law 18/2024 has an annual budget of €350K and, with its 17 articles and an annual plan, regulates the operations of the Fondazione Umbria Film Commission, of which the Region is a founding member, and the cinematographic and audiovisual activities in the Region, including the management of cinemas, festivals and reviews.
The Umbria Film Fund 2024 call has an endowment of €2M from the PR FESR 2021-2027 funds and provides non-repayable contributions for:
a. cinema, audiovisual works, TV and web series, including documentaries and animation: with grants up to 50% of eligible expenses, for a maximum of €500K;
b. live action short films: with grants up to 70% of eligible expenses, for a maximum of €20K.
The call, aimed at SMEs with ATECO code 59.11, works on a first-come, first-served basis: applications will be selected in chronological order; projects must score at least 60 /100 on the list of valuation criteria.
Applications (max. one per applicant) may be submitted from 10:00 am (CET) 7 November 2024 to 10:00 am (CET) 6 March 2025; or while funds last.
