The Sardinia Film Commission’s new "Hospitality Fund" is now online with a budget of €800k and a 17 February deadline.
The aim of the call is to promote and support Sardinia’s artistic and environmental heritage, increase the professional and technical resources available to create the conditions to attract national and international film and audiovisual productions to the island to make work that raises awareness of the region, of its territory, culture and history, in Italy and abroad by sharing visuals and awareness.
Opening the island to the film and audiovisual production system also guarantees repercussions in terms of investment, employment opportunities and competitive products. Positioning Sardinia as an ideal location for audiovisual productions, the goal is to create a socio-economic reaction that will affect the culture, tourism and industry sectors. This will naturally create promotion for accommodation facilities and the tourism industry, in addition to developing new opportunities in those places on the island affected by the individual projects:
The fund also aims to increase job opportunities for professionals and companies in the audiovisual sector in Sardinia by boosting their training and professional qualifications.
