The Fondazione Sardegna Film Commission has renewed its three year agreement with the Municipality of Cagliari for promotion of the city in the audiovisual sector.
The new agreement not only identifies resources to earmark for calls to support audiovisual production but also delegates spaces on the ground floor of the MEM – Mediateca del Mediterraneo for use by the regional Film Commission alongside the Film Commission Cagliari. “This will be an incubator to support industry professionals and eventually create increasingly advanced training projects in the field– commented Paola Piroddi, the councillor for culture – I believe it’s also an important political signal”.
The call, with a budget of 170,000 euro, will launch at the end of December, aimed at the international and national productions active in 2020.
Since its beginning in 2014, 38 projects have been supported, which have involved not only local businesses but also domestic and international production companies.
