Two new spaces dedicated to virtual reality in the Museo nazionale del Cinema of Turin are due for inauguration in a couple of weeks. The Film Commission Torino Piemonte is also involved in this project, the first museum experiment of its kind. The project started during the closures due to the Covid pandemic and aims at the digital development of the structure.
Virtual reality will now be a part of the museum route: two rooms will come to life with the use of visors and joysticks and choosing a film will take the visitor directly into the sequence. The aim is to encourage visits to the museums by people familiar with technology, children and people who are new to the digital world. Some visors can also be used for meetings with directors and actors.
