New calls for cinema and audiovisual funding on the Film Commission Torino Piemonte website have a deadline of 15 December.
The Piemonte Doc Film Fund, with a total budget of €420k for 2021 of which €200k is available for the December deadline, focusses on supporting documentaries created by production structures in Piedmont with stories and themes related to the region, to other territories in Italy or abroad; or documentaries produced by Italian, or foreign, production structures with stories and themes related directly to Piedmont. It offers a contribution of €5 - €20k for development and €5 - €20k for production (in total €70k if the project is presented for both phases at successive deadlines) to cover 50% of the costs borne.
The Piemonte Short Film Fund, with a total budget of €50k for 2021 of which €20k is available for the December deadline finances short films - fiction, animation and experimental - produced entirely or partially in the region with a significant number of local professionals and workers and at least three key roles in production and/or post-production from Piedmont. It offers a contribution of €5-15k to cover 50% of the costs borne.
The Piemonte Film Tv Development Fund has a budget of €280k for 2021 with €150k available for the December deadline and focusses on production companies in Piedmont with the intention of boosting their capacity to develop projects with the potential for foreign distribution and to facilitate international co-productions. The beneficiaries have the right to a contribution of €10-50k for a maximum amount equal to 50% of the budget estimated for development.
