Apparently poles apart, Massimo Mancuso and Valentina Sangiorgi work for the same company in the same city. He is a factory worker struggling every day to make ends meet and support his two children and his father, who has lived with him since his beloved wife’s death. Valentina, daughter of Primo, the owner and founder of the company, lives in a beautiful home with a loving husband and a son whose bright future is already planned. On the surface, a comfortable and trouble-free life. As Christmas approaches, Massimo discovers that his son Pietro suffers from the same condition as his wife and requires an expensive operation. At the same time, Primo’s sudden illness hands Valentina the reins of the company and he pressures her to lay off personnel to help pay the company debt. A clash between Massimo and Valentina is inevitable, their mutual prejudices explode, and both end up wishing they could be in each other's shoes. And that is exactly what happens.
