The Arboretum of Arco is a strip of the ancient Archduke Park which was created by Archduke Albert of Habsburg near the Villa Arciducale around 1872. In 1993 it became a detached section of the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences of Trento. The Arboretum is full of majestic and spectacular ultra-secular plant monuments. Thanks to the mild climate of the Alto Garda, there are more than 150 species of trees and shrubs coming from all over the world, with prevalence of Mediterranean and subtropical plants. The Arboretum is a botanical paradise for numerous visitors, and in a few years it has become an internationally known educational center.
