The Trentino Film Fund, which finances film, television and documentary works produced by local, national and international production companies and the participation of professionals or aspiring professionals resident in the province of Trento in training courses and/or industry markets, will be accepting requests for funding contributions from 11 January.
The funding requests must be sent by 24 February, 7 June and 20 September 2022.
The Trentino Film Fund was established by the Provincia di Trento to boost and share the wealth of local and European culture through the use of cinema and television, while also promoting the territory of the province and encouraging the growth of local technical and artistic resources with the intention of creating professional exchanges at the European level.
Film and television productions may receive grants of up to €400,000; documentaries €40,000; local television productions and editors €50,000; while the maximum contribution for training initiatives is €5,000. In all cases, the amount granted will not exceed 50% of the costs spent in the territory.
Productions shooting films or TV series applying for grants must demonstrate a spend in the territory of at least 150% of the amount received, 120% for documentaries. In addition, they are required to use local workforce (technical professionals domiciled and operational in the province of Trento) for 20% of the crew (excluding extras).
