Lake Cei is located in the Municipality of Villa Lagarina, at 920m above sea level. It is a barrier lake, which was created by a large landslide that interrupted the flow of water through this small valley. According to carbon dating of trees found on the bottom of the lake, the landslide could have taken place in around 1200 AD. The Lake is part of the mountain range featuring Mount Stivo and Mount Bondone.
