The Riserva Naturale Lago di Burano (Lake Burano Nature Reserve) was once a hunting reserve and includes an untouched stretch of coastline with sandy dunes and a lake. The lake is separated from the Tyrrhenian Sea by a narrow strip of dunes, which is one of the naturalistically best preserved stretches of coast in the region.
