Pergine Valsugana is a Renaissance-era hamlet of historical interest. It is the capital of the Upper Sugana Valley, and dominated by the ancient towers of the Medieval castle.
There are lots of picturesque sights in the centre, like Via Maier, one of the most beautiful Renaissance contradas and rich in art, from the aristocratic residences to the ancient churches. Around the town are hills with small fruit plantations and the Pudro, Madrano and Canzolino Lakes, along with the bigger Caldonazzo and Levico Lakes. Just a few kilometres separate Pergine Valsugana from what was once the Mocheni Valley, an ethnic island and place of ancient tradition in an impassable and enchanting place.
