Fort Velon, in the municipality of Vermiglio (Trento), was an Austro-Hungarian fortress built between 1898 and 1900 as an accessory to fort Strino. Its purpose was to block access to nearby val di Stavel and to control the valley floor of the Vermigliana River. In 1906 it was connected to fort Strino with a protected concrete staircase.
The quadrangular two-storey concrete casemate is partially covered with blocks of granite. It was originally equipped with 2 cannons and 2 machine gun positions.
