Tommaso Buscetta is not convinced by the peace deal the families agree on and he decides to move to Rio de Janerio in Brazil. Intent on murdering their rivals, the Corleonesi family then embarks upon a season of bloodshed in the streets of Palermo.
Extradited to Italy, Buscetta decides to collaborate with Judge Giovanni Falcone: between interrogations, detentions and court scenes (shot in Latina), the maxi-trial (as it will be known in history) in the Bunker Courthouse in Palermo is pieced together.
Having joined his family in Miami, Buscetta will decide to return to Italy following the Capaci attack to raise the stakes with his revelations and involve the politicians. Other shooting locations were Rome, Bracciano (RM), Cologne and London.
