The building of the power plant is the work of the architect Giovanni Muzio, former architect of the Catholic University and of the Palazzo della Triennale in Milan, as well as of the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth. The spectacular turbine room, with a volume of over 150,000 cubic meters, is entirely carved into the rock at a depth of 600 meters. To access it, it is necessary to follow a tunnel of more than 400 meters.
