The principal locations in Piedmont were Villa Gontero in Cumiana (province of Turin), a private Brutalist-style villa designed by architect Carlo Graffi in the 1970s; and Villa de Maistre in Borgo Cornalese (Villastellone). Additional locations included Turin and Stupinigi with a 90% Piedmontese crew, across all departments.
Ferine was produced by Francesco Grisi and Giorgia Priolo for EDI Effetti Digitali Italiani, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the "Piemonte Film TV Fund", along with the support of the Film Commission Torino Piemonte and the "Lombardia per il cinema" grant. It is distributed in Italy by Adler Entertainment.
