Based on the book L'età ridicola by Margherita Giacobino, six weeks (approx.) of filming in Turin (March- April 2024) employed a crew of nearly 50 local professionals. Locations include: piazza Vittorio Veneto, where the entrance to Karina (Barbara Bouchet)’s apartment building is under the porticoes; a night-time taxi stop offers a view of the Church of the Gran Madre di Dio, linked to the square by Vittorio Emanuele I Bridge which spans the Po River. During her walks, Karina passes piazza Castello, lungopo Antonelli, Valentino park and its castle, seen when she sits on a bench, and the Canottieri di Armida club in the city park. Karina strolls with her friend Max (Luigi Diberti) through the Sambuy gardens in piazza Carlo Felice, opposite Turin Porta Nuova station.
Karina's life is shaken when a young domestic worker becomes part of her daily routine. Despite some cumbersome, mysterious baggage, Suliko proves to be a breath of fresh air for elderly Karina; occasionally they clash and one of these conflicts comes to a head at the crossroads of via Don Giovanni Cocchi and strada Val San Martino in front of the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, granted to the Orthodox community and dedicated to Saint Maximus. Suliko, a skilled skater, is seen on the ice at the Tazzoli Ice Palace. Her help contributes to Karina’s discovery that new beginnings exist even on the brink of the ending.
