2 cuori 2 capanne by Massimiliano Bruno, co-written with Andrea Bassi, Damiano Bruè, and Lisa Ricciardi and starring Edoardo Leo and Claudia Pandolfi, was filmed entirely in Rome. The director’s hometown and chosen abode, the city is portrayed in its daily existence, the central streets and parks that often come alive with street demonstrations, a crossroads of more or less casual and unexpected encounters, scattered yet surprising on a human scale.
The opening frames, which offer a view of piazza Geremia Bonomelli, identify the setting as the Garbatella neighbourhood, where Alessandra (Claudia Pandolfi), the literature teacher at the high school where Valerio (Edoardo Leo) is principal, supposedly lives. The school and outdoor spaces, however, are the Terenzio Mamiani secondary school on viale delle Milizie, in the Prati neighbourhood, the other side of the city.
Some filming also took place in Ostia.
Credits include: director of photography Marco Bassano; editor Luciana Pandolfelli; production design by Sonia Peng; set design by Melissa Fasolino; costumes by Alberto Moretti; and original music by Roberto Lobbe Procaccini.

Alessandra and Valerio couldn't be more different. She's free-spirited and independent, a brilliant and beloved high school teacher. An easy-going yet stern and traditionalist forty-year-old, he's just been made school. Their paths cross by chance on a tram: an accidental collision that ignites sparks. Lightning passion, a whirlwind night. But the best is yet to come when the next day they realize they work at the same school. And that's not all … in the months that follow, Alessandra discovers she's pregnant. By Valerio, who, among other things, had sworn to her he was sterile. Forced to work under the same roof, they have to face the completely unexpected situation and confront each other. Can a staunch feminist and an unwitting chauvinist find common ground?
