Three couples of different ages decide to take a "break to think about things". For forty-year-old Fabrizio, this is an emotional disaster that masks something else; for his partner Valeria, it's an opportunity. Valter, who is approaching sixty, sees it as an unacceptable injustice imposed by his wife of thirty years, Fiorella, while for her, it is essential. For nineteen-year-old Erica, it's a momentary obstacle, but for her boyfriend Gabriel, whom she met online, it's a mask to hide the search to find himself.
