Tienimi presente, co-written with Davide de Rosa, starring Alberto Palmiero in his directorial debut, retraces the real-life locations of the director's personal experience. The story and filming both take place in Rome, Venice Lido, and Aversa.
"Tienimi presente was written in the places of my childhood, as I tried to transform the frustration of returning home into something constructive. It was a process of self-analysis that also had a cathartic function. The screenplay was developed by reworking real events, re-enacted by me—playing myself—and my loved ones. We shot with a minimal crew: often, just me and the assistant director on set. This choice was designed to create an intimate and relaxed environment, where everyone could feel free to express themselves naturally, without pressure," explains Alberto Palmieri.
Credits include: photography by Lorenzo Mancini and Vincenzo Pezone; original music by Francesco Di Grazia; assistant director Vincenzo Pezone; live sound editor Alberto Moscone; sound mixer and designer Eugenio Bonemazzi; colour Alessio Zanardi.

Alberto, a disillusioned young director, is convinced that cinema has nothing left to offer him. However, it is by giving up on his dream that he comes to discover its deeper meaning. After years spent in Rome hoping to make a film – chasing uncertain projects and producers perpetually on the run – Alberto, now approaching thirty, decides to return to his hometown. Life as an aspiring artist has proved lonelier than expected, and the countryside with its slow pace and familiar faces offers an unexpected refuge. Surrounded by old friends, new acquaintances, and moments of peace, Alberto rediscovers a lost serenity. It doesn't take long for doubts to resurface though, thoughts of the dreams he's cast aside along with the question that unceasingly torments him: what should he really do with his life? The choice seems clear: stay and start over, or transform this fragment of life into a story.
