Strike – Figli di un’era sbagliata is set during a hot Roman summer. Dante, Pietro, Tiziano (Gabriele Berti, Giovanni Nasta, Diego Tricarico, also making their directing debut together) are all — by choice or force —destined to spend it in an addiction treatment facility. Inside these walls (or rather, in the courtyard), their destinies intersect, along with those of other characters. Shy, awkward Dante, studying psychology at university, has chosen to be there. High-school leaver Pietro, repeatedly caught in possession of marijuana, is required to attend rehab, but dreams of a vacation and leaving his problems behind. Tiziano, who admits to a serious crack addiction, is a tough suburbanite with a heart of gold. Despite their different aspirations and needs, and incompatible personalities, the boys discover the value of friendship in a seemingly godforsaken place.
The film was shot in Rome and Potenza Picena, where the Giacomo Leopardi State Comprehensive School was used for the addiction facility (a Ser.D.). The hamlet of Porto Potenza Picena, specifically the Natural Village Resort, was used for the seaside scenes. Four weeks of filming (June - July 2024) employed a crew of 50.

The destinies of three young people intertwine inside the walls of an addiction treatment facility during a hot Roman summer. Shy, awkward Dante is studying psychology at university; Pietro must appear for mandatory drug checks after being repeatedly found in possession of marijuana, but he just wants to escape on vacation with his (ex) girlfriend; ‘tough guy’ Tiziano is desperate to beat an apparent addiction to crack as fast as he can. Despite their initial incompatibility, the three learn to trust each other and fight their addictions and insecurities together.
