Good food, a picture-perfect Tuscan countryside, and a picturesque villa amid the vineyards of Val d'Orcia are the ingredients of the romantic comedy You, Me & Tuscany, directed by Kat Coiro and starring Halle Bayley (The Little Mermaid) and Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton).
The film centres on Anna (Halle Bailey), a young woman who has put aside her dream of becoming a chef and whose twenties are increasingly marked by bad choices and confusion. When she simultaneously loses both home and job, a chance encounter with the charming Matteo (Lorenzo de Moor) who owns an empty villa in Tuscany, pushes her to ignore the advice of her friend Claire (Aziza Scott) and leave for Italy. Anna's initial intention is simple: to secretly spend just one night at the villa. The plan falls apart when Gabriella, Matteo's mother (Isabella Ferrari), arrives. Caught off guard, Anna lets Gabriella believe she's her son's fiancée. The lie, born out of necessity, is further complicated by the arrival of Michael (Regé-Jean Page), Matteo's cousin. The strong attraction that develops between him and Anna threatens to change everything, pushing Anna to reconsider her life, her choices, and the future she thought she didn't deserve.
Principal photography took place in summer 2025 in Lazio and Tuscany: in Rome and the province of Siena, Pienza, Monticchiello, Montalcino.
